Before my own wedding. Before Kellie and Tony had three beautiful kids. And long before I had my two kids. We had…
late-night Halo matches
extra cash in our pockets to eat way too much Wendy’s and Good Times
the ability to drop everything and go on cross-country road trips…and only make 10-minute stops. (coming soon to a TBT post near you)
And….We planned weddings. 3 weddings to be exact. But Tony and Kellie’s was the FIRST. It was the first wedding that I really got PAID for. I remember calling my mom and being so excited that I finally got a paying gig. I wasn’t shooting for free anymore, I was IN this wonderful, rewarding, exhausting business! It was also the first wedding that my now-hubby and I photographed together. We’d only been dating 3 months but we were so in tune on that wedding day. Throughout the day I would ask him “did you get ‘this’ shot” “yup!”, “how about ‘this’ one” “yup!, and before you ask, I got the cake too!”. We’ve done many weddings together since then. He’s always been my favorite second-shooter. 🙂
Here’s a throwback to Kellie and Tony’s wedding day at The Fort. Enjoy!
