Oh, this wonderful family. I’ve known Marci since 7th grade. We got ourselves into quite a bit of trouble through our Shenanigans as we were growing up. Her family relocated to Florida while we were in high school, but we still kept in contact and I was more than happy to make the drive to Denver when they were visiting last weekend. It was actually her brilliant idea to do a family photoshoot at the same time. They were in town to celebrate the life of Marci’s Grandma. And while the reason for everyone being together is tough to think about, it was a wonderful opportunity to schedule a photo session with the entire extended family.

It was a chilly morning the day of the session, and these Florida-Transplants were no longer accustomed to the brisk winter mornings that Colorado has to offer! After our session in the park, I tagged along to Grandma’s house to photograph the family just being together. I love (!) the photos of the family looking at old photo albums. This just reaffirms my profession and makes me want to shout from the mountaintops to GET THOSE PHOTOS PRINTED!! You don’t see a family passing around an external hard drive or DVD of images. You see an ALBUM! And that is what I want my clients to take away from my business. So while I offer digital files to all my clients, I strongly encourage you to take the time and investment to get your memories printed. Hard drives fail. DVDs break. But those albums will stand the test of time.
