I’m back! After taking a much-needed break to spend the time I needed with my family, I am so excited to say that I am ready to get back to work with all of you lovely families!
So let’s get to it. I couldn’t have asked for a better family photography session to be my first session of the year. I introduced Tony and Kellie to each other back in 2005 and have been able to photograph every major life event they have had since. From getting married to their beautiful children.
When Kellie called to tell me they were expecting another baby due in February….there were tears. Lots and lots of tears. Rainbow babies come with a whole swirl of emotions. But one thing we both knew is that I would be there to photograph all the details. I cannot wait to be there for this precious girl’s birth!
During their consult, we discussed the importance of including something special to represent the two babies they lost due to miscarriage. Together, we decided to have them bring a stuffy for each child lost. Each image we created during this session is special in its own way, but I know this one has a little extra sentimental touch for this family.
We had so much fun during the session, laughing and running with the kids as well as taking some special quiet moments honoring the phase they are in right now and showing off each of the kids’ personalities.
After each session, I design a wall gallery to add to their home. It has been such a blessing to see their home fill with galleries of their lives together, as their family grows and changes. The details in their faces and smiles of their happiest times. Delivering each gallery fills my heart knowing they will each look at their lives together and see the love they have grown with each new session.
